Kaleidoscope

I'm Throwing Tomatoes BOOO!!!

I'm canceling my Netflix subscription after the next season of Ginny and Georgia and You comes out after watching Kaleidoscope - a horrible misuse of the phrase television show. I wasted four days of my life trying to wrack the horrible plot and character development in what is called the first season of this show. The ''show'' was comprised of eight episodes. Although it was a short amount of episodes, it was unbelievably hard and strenuous to get through as the show relies on a gimmick rather than actual substance. What happened to talent, decency, and, most of all, TELEVISION?

The gist of the show is about a money heist with some of the most annoying tv characters in history. These same characters will not be getting a shoutout on this website but a plea for the end of their prospective acting careers. Consequently, I have never felt more time wasted than the experience I had when watching this show as there were no plot twists, the acting felt a bit stale and tired, and only one episode out of the entire eight felt semi-decent. The show relies on the fact that supposedly those who view the show in different orders, as viewers get to pick the order in which they watch the show, will feel differently about the show than others. But what am I supposed to do when I've watched the show and thought it was utter garbage, just like others? When watching this show, it had a 20 percent rating on rate my tomatoes, but 88 percent of Google users loved it. However, I am confused about how anyone can love the piece of garbage Netlfix just handed to us for the New Year. This is not just about the show but the fact that Netflix only comes out with one good show every three-five months. While that opinion may be subjective, the general consensus among my peers and those in my age group believe that we, as a society, are no longer in the golden age of television. Everything is mostly unoriginal, copied, overdone, or a reboot, and it is tiring not to have access to good television to provide relief for those with monotonous or stressful lives. While this show is not entirely responsible for that, I believe this show should be the new marker for why Netflix should not take every idea pitched to them. This is a New Year, and this new show is a HELL NO@!

The Weekly Binge and Review rates this a -200/10. Do better, Netflix.
