The Gabby Petito Case
THE Facts
Gabby Petito, a 22-year-old white woman, went missing with her now estranged fiancé, Brian Laundrie, on August 27th, 2021. Brian Laundrie, alleged to be the murderer of his now late fiance, is also allegedly 15 years older than the late Gabby Petito.
The search for Gabby Petito started on September 11th, 2021, and her body's remains were found on September 19th. The police, F.B.I, and social media are still searching for the prime suspect of the Petito murder, Brian Laundrie.
Brian Laundrie, who is missing and estranging himself from the media, life, and overall civilization, now has an arrest warrant out for him. But the arrest warrant is for the use of Gabby Petito's credit card and not a warrant of the murder of Gabby Petito.
The Solution
As much as murder is a violent crime, why was the Federal Bureau of Investigation involved in this case? Well, the murder of Gabby Petito counts as a violent crime because of the aggravated assault that happened to the late Gabby Petito. But why did they get involved? I am guessing massive media output of people begging for the Federal Bureau of investigation to oversee this case.
The Federal Bureau of investigation is now inditing the estranged Brian Laundrie for the use of Gabby Petito's credit card when he is the prime suspect of the case. Will they find Brian Laundrie? But more importantly to this way of resolution or solution, if Brian Laundrie is found, will he get tried for murder?

My opinion
Disclaimer: when reporting, I have often felt conflicted not to show my bias or how I have felt on a particular topic. Getting to write Netflix reviews where the entire analysis basis was own my opinion, was refreshing. Therefore in each Current event story, I will be showcasing my personal opinion. As a StackRuns writer, I am entirely open to differentiating opinions in the discord channel and personal written emails.
Gabby Petito entirely deserves justice, and nothing should be taken away from the perils of this horrible time her family is facing. In my opinion, I agree that Brian Laundrie should be tried for the murder of the late Gabby Petito since he is the only logical and alleged prime suspect. But there are so many missing Indigenous, Black, Asian, and Hispanic/Latino children, women, and men who are missing right now. Yet, the Gabby Petito case gets the aid of the Federal Bureau of investigation and national coverage. The media has coined the term missing white girls who get national coverage and federal assistance in their missing cases " Missing White Girl Syndrome". When the press and society go out of their way to find a white girl who hasn't been missing for as long or hasn't gotten the same lack of help as missing people of color get in the United States of America. The white privilege showcased in the Gabby Petito case is astonishing and prevalent. Yet there is one question I have for my readers, how far will this white privilege go to aid Gabby Petito, meaning if Brian Laundrie is found and tried for murder, will he go to prison? In the Battle of the two privileges, which one is stronger? The privilege of a white girl, or the privilege of a white man?
